What to do When You have Writer's Block
I really like to write. A lot. And so I came up with this list of ideas for if your teacher ever says, "Okay, write a story. You have forty five minutes. Go."
- Write a short story from your life-Make it funny and be sure to sort of stretch out the moment. Works best if it's about 2-3 minutes in your life. Example: If you acciddentally went over a log flume. (That was so not fun😖😖)
- Write the backstory to your favorite book character-this one only works if the character isn't one that the spotlight is focused on. Example: This would work a lot better with say Crabbe from the Harry Potter series than Harry Potter himself.
- The story of an inanimate object-Think about all those things in your life that you don't notice. What if they could think?Example: A story about a dog toy. AGHHHH ATTACK OF SUZ-ZILLA!!
- A place you've been that was just so . . .. so . . .incomparable-Or really anywhere. Example: For me this would be cross-country skiing or maybe somewhere in California, Maryland, Florida, Ohio or Maine (like the parts with potato fields)
- Write a persuasive essay to someone-It could be about anything and to anyone. Example: A persuasive letter about banning electoral colleges to a president
And .. .. . . .That's it for now! Bye!
